We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Preparer to support individual tax return preparation for a Contract position based in Bellevue, Washington. This opportunity is ideal for someone with hands-on tax experience who can manage return preparation accurately, develop tax projections, and work efficiently during busy filing periods. The role requires strong familiarity with individual income tax processes and the ability to use UltraTax CS to deliver timely, high-quality work.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review individual income tax returns with accuracy and close attention to applicable tax rules.
• Develop tax projections to help estimate liabilities and support client planning needs.
• Gather, organize, and analyze financial and tax-related documents required for return completion.
• Use UltraTax CS to enter tax data, produce returns, and maintain organized workpapers.
• Identify missing information, follow up on outstanding items, and resolve routine tax preparation issues.
• Apply current tax guidelines to ensure filings are completed correctly and submitted on schedule.• 2 to 5 years of experience preparing tax returns.
• Practical experience working with individual income tax filings.
• Proficiency with UltraTax CS or closely related tax preparation software.
• Solid understanding of tax preparation workflows, documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear communication skills for coordinating information and clarifying tax-related details.
